Raised just outside of  Glasgow, Scotland it was always my dream to be a professional footballer/soccer player. I was so fortunate to be able to fulfill that dream and have a lengthy career playing the game I love so much. It took me from Linwood, Dingwall and Elgin in my homeland to the US cities of Cleveland, Columbus, Portland, Houston, Seattle, Dallas, New York  and finally to the Sacramento region where I now live with my wife and 3 kids.

Since hanging up my boots at the end of Sacramento Republic FC's 2018 season I've been coaching/training kids locally and sharing in the enjoyment the game has given me. I currently hold a USSF 'B' License as well as several USSF Grassroots licenses and a few Futsal Licenses through USYF.

My hope is that I can nurture a love for the game to each player I coach, no matter where they decide to take it.
